The Rochester Advertising Federation, who are a subset of the American Advertising Federation, put on the ADDY Awards every year to highlight creatives in advertising here in Rochester.
This is a heavily-themed event which has roughly 500 attendees including ad agencies, freelancers, production houses, and students to celebrate that year’s work.
A Rochester tradition is to have the winner of Best of Show the previous year put on the show the following year; including deciding the theme, getting the word out through social media and a website, and designing the entirety of the event.
Optic Sky won Best of Show in 2018, and this is the work we did to put the show together for 2019.
The theme for the 2019 ADDY Awards focuses on 60’s era international spy - with a modern twist. Our title “Double Agency” plays on the idea of being a double agent - in the agency world. Small puns pop up throughout the campaign to remind our audience that the ADDY Awards are a fun event with Rochester’s creatives.
